Mr. Akula was later awarded an international spinal fellowship in Toronto, at the Krembil Neuroscience Centre, where he gained further knowledge in spinal pathology from an orthopaedic and also neurosurgical perspective. Upon completion of his training and fellowships, Mr. Akula was appointed Consultant in 2016.
