His area of specialism is Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery including simple and complex gall bladder disease and all types of abdominal wall hernia.
His specialised areas of interest include
• Keyhole gall bladder surgery (with very low open conversion rate with highest day case rate in Milton Keynes University Hospital),
• Open and keyhole groin hernia, ventral and incisional hernia surgery,
• Groin pain, Gilmore's groin, Athlete's groin pain, Sports hernia
• Adhesion pain surgery,
• Pilonidal sinus surgery
• Recurrent ingrowing toe nails surgery
• Upper and lower GI endoscopy
• Lymph node biopsy, lumps and bumps removal surgery under local or general anaesthesia.
He performs hernia repairs under local anaesthesia with very high patient satisfaction for the patients who do not want or are not fit for general anaesthesia. He carries out pilonidal sinus surgery with special techniques such as Karydakis closure, Cleft lift, romboid flaps and EPSiT procedure depending on patients' need.
Mr Toe has a strong focus on post operative pain management and his techniques minimise pain after keyhole gall bladder surgery, groin and other ventral hernia repair surgery with high patient satisfaction and excellent feedback.[Verified patient feedback-Mr Toe in my opinion is an amazing man. He is also a JAG certified endoscopist and performs gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Mr Toe qualified from Rangoon University Medical College, Burma in 1986. In 1994 he completed a master's degree in General Surgery. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998. He passed intercollegiate exam and became the fellow of Royal Colleges of Surgeon for General Surgery in 2009.
In 2011 he completed a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery at Strabourg University, France.
He has many professional memberships including Membership of European and British Hernia Society and British Association of Day Surgery.
Mr Toe is interested in research regarding post operative pain management (painless post op) after general and upper GI surgery including keyhole gall bladder surgery, groin hernia surgery, ventral hernia and incisional hernia surgery and pilonidal sinus surgery. He has also received many awards including First Prize in Irrawaddy Division Matriculation Exam in 1978 and First Prize in Hinthada Township Matriculation Exam in 1978. He also offers courses to GPs regarding topic including groin, ventral and incisional hernia surgery.
He is a faculty member of keyhole gall bladder surgery for advanced nurse practitioners and groin hernia repair under Local Anaesthesia for surgeons. He is an experienced trainer and educator for junior doctors, Nurses and medical students with excellent record and feedback.
