Mr Humayun Ayub Khan is an experienced Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon seeing private patients at The Alexandra Hospital. His surgical knowledge is expansive, ranging from thyroid surgery, paediatric surgery, urology, microvascular surgery, burns and cosmetic plastic surgery.

His NHS special interest is in burns and plastic reconstructive surgery in adults and children. especially skin cancer. He is currently lead of the Adult burns service in Manchester. He is an active member of the regional skin cancer multidisciplinary team. His other NHS work include scar revisions, abdominal and perineal reconstruction, post weight loss body contouring.

Dr Ayub Khan was awarded his Fellowship in General Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1992, after which he gained considerable experience in General Surgery, Thyroid Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Urology and Burns. Much of Mr Khan's work in Pakistan included treating trauma patients from the Afghan civil war of the 90's which inspired him to further enhance his experience in plastic surgery.

Mr Ayub Khan relocated to the UK in 2000 and became a Fellow in Plastic Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2006. He was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 2007 and later completed his Master's degree with a merit award in Aesthetic Surgery from Queen Mary University of London in 2013.

Since then, Mr Ayub Khan has accrued expertise in breast surgery including breast reductions, augmentation, mastopexy and gynaecomastia surgery.

Other procedures he performs in the private sector are abdominoplasties, liposuction, upper and lower blepharoplasty, Prominent ear correction, split earlobes, Botox injections,  and scar revision surgery.
