He runs a busy retinal practice and manages patients with retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction and advanced diabetic eye disease, as well as macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion and diabetic retinopathy. He has carried out research in retinal imaging, high myopia, vitreomacular traction and diabetic eye disease and has published widely in the field of the retina and presented his research at several national and international meetings. His other interests include education and training, having been College Tutor and Regional Advisor to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists as well as being an Examiner for the Royal College.
