About Mr Gerald Gui
Mr. Gerald Gui is a consultant breast surgeon at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and HCA Healthcare UK Women’s Health Centre, located at 27-29 Harley Street, where he works with Leaders in Breast Surgery. Specialising in breast surgery, Mr. Gui is experienced in breast reconstruction, oncoplastic breast conservation procedures, early breast cancer detection, cancer genetics, and managing the risks for patients with genetic or familial predispositions to breast cancer. Mr Gui is honorary Senior Lecturer, Institure of Canccer Research, London. Mr. Gui graduated with his medical degree from University College and Middlesex Hospitals Medical School in 1986. He then completed his advanced surgical training in surgical oncology at St Bartholomew’s and St George’s Hospitals in London. He furthered his surgical oncology training in both the UK and the USA, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1990 and of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1991. Additionally, he was a Travelling Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, including a stint at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. In 1996, Mr. Gui was awarded a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London. He was later appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a position he continues to hold alongside his private practice. Mr. Gui is actively involved in medical education and mentoring future surgeons. He serves as a teacher and examiner at the University of London and leads post-graduate courses for advanced breast trainees at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also conducts masterclasses on breast reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital, attended by surgeons from the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Mr. Gui holds the position of honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Cancer Research in London and is engaged in cutting-edge breast cancer and surgical research, with over 100 published papers. He is a member of the British Breast Group, British Association of Surgical Oncology, British Oncological Association, and the Association of Breast Surgery.
