About Mr David Piper
David Piper is a highly experienced podiatrist and the founder of The Exeter Clinic, which he established in 1998. After qualifying from the University of Plymouth in 1993 with a BSc in Podiatry, David began his career in Gloucester before spending three years with the NHS in Chard and Ilminster, Somerset. His clinical expertise includes gait analysis and the treatment of a wide range of conditions, such as plantar fasciitis, heel pain, ingrown toenails, diabetes-related foot issues, fungal nail infections, and skin concerns. David is passionate about mentoring podiatry students and apprentices, sharing both clinical knowledge and innovative treatment approaches to enhance patient care. He is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Outside of the clinic, David enjoys countryside walks with his black Labrador and has a taste for adventure. He has sailed across the Atlantic from Antigua to Valencia and is a three-time medalist at the Dragon Boat World Championships in Canada. Driven by a pursuit of excellence, David is committed to helping both patients and future podiatrists reach their full potential: “The relentless pursuit of excellence is what drives me forward, never accepting mediocre solutions or half measures”.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
