À propos
I have a busy elective and trauma practice specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery and arthroscopic procedures.
I qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London in August 2000. I completed a basic surgical training incorporating neurosurgery, plastic surgery and critical care medicine, in addition to orthopaedic and general surgery, before entering the Wessex Orthopaedic Training Programme as a specialist registrar in 2006.
Following a one year international fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty, navigational arthroplasty and hip arthroscopy in Brisbane, Australia, I took the opportunity to work as a locum consultant in Cairns, Far North Queensland for six months, experiencing orthopaedics and trauma in the tropics.
I have worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth since July 2013 and was appointed there to a substantive post in July 2014.
Research interests: Published and presented on lower limb orthopaedic topics at national and international meetings.
My keen interest in sports include rowing, sailing and mountaineering, have taken a backseat recently due to my young family. Encouraging their interest in outdoor pursuits is a full time activity when not engaged in my clinical activities.
