About Mr Andrew Ramwell
Mr Andrew Ramwell is a successful General and Colorectal Surgeon operating in South West London. In April 2011, He was appointed as an NHS Consultant at St. George's Hospital, Tooting. As an experienced general Surgeon, he specialises in various aspects of colorectal disease treatments such as rectal bleeding, colonoscopy, open hernia repair, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, haemorrhoids, and bowel cancer. During his professional life as a surgeon, he has performed more than 100 bowel resections using laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery technique. Mr Ramwell got trained and qualified as a Doctor from St. George's Hospital Medical School in 1997. Most of his training as a doctor was done in the South West Thames region. Mr Ramwell had to reduce his clinical practice for two years (2002-2004) as he undertook a post-graduate research degree (MD) that is related to characteristics of how colorectal cancer spreads. Before joining St. George's Colorectal Surgery in London, he spent six months between 2010 and 2011 in a colorectal Fellowship post at St. Thomas' Hospital.
