About Mr Andrew Pearson
Mr Andrew Pearson is a highly specialised Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years experience and one of the few surgeons in the UK whose practice is dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of hip conditions. He works full-time in private practice and consults and operates at several hospitals including The Priory Hospital and The Droitwich Spa Hospital, both part of Circle Health Group. He sees and treats privately insured and self-funding patients from across the UK and internationally. Mr Pearson is a super-specialist in all aspects of hip surgery, including total hip replacement, revision (redo) hip surgery, hip arthroplasty, joint injections, and the management of sports-related hip injuries. He is particularly recognised for his expertise in complex revision surgery, helping patients whose previous hip replacements have failed. Prior to moving exclusively into private practice, his NHS work was based for over 20 years at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where his clinical focus was entirely on hip disorders. He was also Medical Director there from 2013 to 2019, leading improvements in surgical outcomes and patient experience across the organisation and the wider NHS. Mr Pearson graduated with distinction from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1995, where he was awarded the final year surgery prize as the top-performing student in London. He completed his higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the West Midlands and undertook advanced fellowship training in complex and revision hip surgery in Oxford before being appointed as a consultant in 2004. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Pearson is actively involved in teaching and training surgeons in both diagnostic and operative techniques. He regularly presents at national and international conferences, contributing to the advancement of hip surgery. His surgical outcomes are routinely reviewed by peers, ensuring that he maintains the highest standards of care and continues to deliver excellent results for his patients.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
