His area of expertise is keyhole (robot and laparoscopic) surgery of the abdomen and pelvis, including the treatment of conditions of the small & large bowel. He is a core member of the local colorectal cancer multi-disciplinary team that manages cancers of the large bowel in Herefordshire. The range of conditions include bowel surgery for cancer and non-cancerous conditions such as ulcerative colitis, crohns disease, adhesions, bowel obstruction etc, He also a special interest in benign perineal conditions such as haemorrhoids, pilonidal sinus, fistula-in-ano, fissures etc. Dayo qualified from University College Hospital, Ibadan (Nigeria) in 1991. He undertook basic surgical training in South East London hospitals, Higher Surgical Training on the West Midlands Higher Surgical Training Scheme and was admitted to the Specialist Register for General Surgery in 2008. He obtained a Master's of Surgery degree from University College London in 2006, after a period of research (colorectal cancer apoptosis) at the Royal Free Hospital. London. He contributes his patient data to national audits including the National Bowel Cancer Audit )NBCA) and the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA) etc. His consultations are patient-centred, and encompasses shared decision making.
