He furthered his specialist training in Germany, obtaining the German Board in ENT surgery and neck and head tumours from the University of Erlangen. He also completed a German fellowship at the University of Augsburg. Dr Abo Elmagd is a member of both the German Ear, Nose and Throat Society and the Saudi Ear, Nose and Throat Society.
