Dr Abou-Chaaban's expertise was further honed over a decade of work and lectures at the University Children’s Hospital Cologne Germany, a period during which he emerged as a sought-after authority. His journey then led him to the UAE, where he was summoned by the Government Hospital in Dubai to establish the First Paediatric Nephrology Unit in 1991.
His impact stretched beyond the confines of the hospital, as he held a senior lecturing position at Dubai Medical College, contributing to the growth of medical education in the region. He extended his realm of influence through his practice at various healthcare institutions, including Emirates Specialty Hospital, Dr Mazen’s Polyclinic, American Hospital in Dubai, Mediclinic City Hospital, and more. At Emirates Specialty Hospital, held the position of Chief Medical Director, overseeing a substantial medical staff and ensuring the highest standards of care.
