Matt Frost
Senior Clinical Audiologist and Hearing Therapist
Matt’s journey into audiology began as a professional musician. He earned a BMus (Hons) with a Concert Recital Diploma in Orchestral Percussion and Drum Kit from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London, and performed extensively as an orchestral percussionist and drummer.
Matt has also been shaped by his own experience of hearing difference. Aged 17, he began wearing hearing aids to support his own bilateral hearing loss. This lived experience has been central to shaping both his career and clinical approach, by enabling him to connect with individuals throughout their hearing experience.
Driven by a passion to support others navigating their own hearing journeys, Matt retrained in audiology and began his involvement in research work within the sphere of musicians’ hearing health and advocacy. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Hearing Aid Audiology from Anglia Ruskin University and joined Harley Street Hearing in 2019. Initially supporting clinical services, he qualified as a Clinical Audiologist and Hearing Therapistin 2022, where he now combines his musical expertise with clinical skills to
serve a wide range of hearing needs.
Current Role and Clinical Expertise
Matt’s responsibilities include:
· Comprehensive Adult Audiology – delivering diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual needs.
· Specialist Care for Musicians – providing hearing assessments, custom-made hearing protection, and specialist advice for professional and amateur musicians.
· Hearing Therapy – offering tailored support for individuals adjusting to hearing loss, managing tinnitus and hyperacusis, or adapting to hearing technology.
· Custom Hearing Products – advising on and fitting custom in-ear monitors, swim plugs, and other bespoke hearing solutions.
