Dr Mark Krawczyszyn is a Consultant Cardiologist with over two decades of specialist experience in cardiology. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1993 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2000. He completed his basic physician training at St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne followed by his specialist cardiology training at Alfred Hospital and four years of research at the Baker Institute. He obtained his DDU in 2003 following advanced training in echocardiography.
Dr Krawczyszyn is based in the Western region of Melbourne and currently sees patients at Footscray Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Alfred Hospital, Western Private Hospital and Cabrini Hospital. He also consults privately at HeartWest Essendon, St Albans, Altona North, Hoppers Crossing and Williamstown.
Dr Krawczyszyn has special interests in all areas of general adult cardiology, transthoracic echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography and diagnostic coronary angiography. He sees patients with a broad range of conditions and symptoms, including the following:
Chest pain
Palpitations
Syncope
Shortness of breath
Hypertension
Arrhythmias
Ischaemic heart disease
Valvular heart disease
Heart failure
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Krawczyszyn is actively involved in teaching medical students, registrars, residents and advanced trainees.
