Prof. Dr. med. Manuel Held ist Facharzt für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie und leitet seit 2025 seine Privatpraxis in Reutlingen. Sein Behandlungsspektrum umfasst Brustchirurgie, Körperformung, Straffungsoperationen, Fettabsaugungen, Behandlungen bei Lipödem, Oberlidstraffungen sowie minimalinvasive ästhetische Verfahren.
Er studierte Humanmedizin an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum, an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg und an der Universität Tübingen, wo er das Staatsexamen ablegte und promovierte. Die Facharztweiterbildung für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie absolvierte er an der BG Klinik Tübingen. Parallel schloss er seine Habilitation ab und wurde von der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen zum außerplanmäßigen Professor ernannt. Später folgten die Zusatzbezeichnung Handchirurgie sowie die Zertifizierung als plastisch-rekonstruktiver Tumorchirurg B durch die DGPRÄC.
Prof. Dr. Held war mehrere Jahre an der BG Klinik Tübingen tätig, zunächst als Assistenzarzt, später als Facharzt, Oberarzt und geschäftsführender Oberarzt für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie. Anschließend arbeitete er als Sektionsleiter für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie an den SLK Kliniken Heilbronn und später an der Klinik auf der Karlshöhe in Stuttgart im Bereich Ästhetik und Lipödemchirurgie. Seit 2025 führt er seine eigene Praxis in Reutlingen.
Prof. Dr. Held ist Mitglied der Deutschen Gesellschaft der Plastischen, Rekonstruktiven und Ästhetischen Chirurgen (DGPRÄC), der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Senologie (DGS) und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Handchirurgie (DGH).
