Ms Al Malla is a Paediatrician. A Paediatrician is a medical doctor who manages the physical, behavioural and mental care of children from birth until age 18. Paediatricians are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from minor illnesses to complex diseases.
Paediatricians are often involved in the care of children from the time they are born. They may provide well-child care, including vaccinations and developmental screenings. They also diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, such as ear infections, colds, and stomach flu. Ms Al Malla qualified as a doctor. To become a doctor, an individual must complete a five-year undergraduate degree in medicine, followed by two years of foundation training and then a further three to seven years of specialist training.
