Dr Mahaveer is a clinical and cosmetic dermatologist who has been in private practice since 1990. He is the owner of Mehta Medical Center where he offers procedures such as skin laser surgery, acne scar treatment, non-surgical skin tightening, photo facial treatment, IPL, cellulite treatment, and pico laser for tattoo removal.
Dr Mehta has vast experience in the field of dermatology, having previously served as the chairman of the department of dermatology for the Qatar armed forces medical unit as well as the chairman of dermatology at the International Hospital Bahrain. He is well known in the field for his use of lasers and for introducing this technology to the Middle East. Dr Mehta is also a keen advocate of health awareness and is continually working to reduce the incidence of skin cancer through prevention, early diagnosis, and prompt treatment. He regularly speaks at international dermatology and laser conferences and is a member of a number of dermatology societies.
In addition, Dr Mehta has contributed significantly to dermatology research, and he has more than 15 articles published in scientific journals. He has also received numerous awards during his career including the Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and the Continuing Medical Education Award from the American Academy of Dermatology.
