Dr Magdy Mohamed Allam is a highly qualified consultant endocrinologist. They advocate for and practise patient self-efficacy and patient-centred approaches. Dr Allam is an active member of many national and international organisations, including the European Society of Endocrinology, the International Diabetes Federation, the European Atherosclerosis Society and the Egyptian Society of Endocrinology and Obesity. In addition to their international innovations and publications, they serve as an editor and reviewer for many international journals. They are also a guest speaker and chairperson at many national and international conferences.
Dr Allam has a special interest in Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and lipid disorders, thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disorders including parathyroid disorders, calcium disorders and vitamin D deficiency. They also have a special interest in reproductive endocrinology including endocrine-related infertility, hirsutism, polycystic ovary syndrome, puberty disorders and gynaecomastia, pituitary diseases including prolactinoma, short stature and growth hormone therapy, the management of endocrine-related obesity, adrenal disorders including endocrine hypertension, and perioperative preparation and antenatal care of various endocrine diseases.
