About Dr Lucy Mather
Dr Lucy Mather is an experienced General Practitioner and women’s health specialist, currently practising at Pennant Private Medical Services. She graduated with an MB ChB from the University of Birmingham in 1999 and holds postgraduate qualifications including MRCPCH and MRCGP. She is a British Menopause Society Advanced Certificate Menopause Specialist and is registered with the British Menopause Society. In addition, she is a member of the International Menopause Society, the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Lifestyle Medicine, reflecting her broad expertise across women’s health, child health, and mental health. Working collaboratively with her patients, Dr Mather develops tailored care plans that may include lifestyle interventions, hormone therapy, and other individualised treatment options to support long-term health and wellbeing. She follows best-practice guidance as set out by the British Menopause Society and is passionate about empowering women to understand and manage their symptoms with confidence. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Mather has held leadership roles in developing evidence-based programmes to improve healthcare responses to gender-based violence and has delivered specialist training in perinatal mental health to healthcare professionals. As well as this she also works as a GP Appraiser and is a Clinical Lecturer at Manchester Medical School.
