Dr. Lauren Breese is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of expertise, specialising in neurodivergence across all age groups. She is renowned for providing comprehensive, psychologically informed assessments for autism, ADHD, and AuDHD, and for delivering tailored psychological therapy to neurodivergent individuals. Dr. Breese has a special interest in supporting people to succeed at work, as well as helping those whose past difficulties may be holding them back in the present.
Dr. Breese is registered with the Health Professionals Council (HCPC - PYL31016) and is a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists UK (ACP-UK). She earned her BSc in Psychology and her Clinical Psychology Doctorate (DClinPsy) from Newcastle University, and she also holds a Graduate Certificate in Systemic and Family Therapy from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience.
Her additional training includes Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), EMDR therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with an emerging interest in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. Dr. Breese’s NHS career spans various services in the UK, where she has provided neuropsychological assessments and psychological therapy for neurodivergent children with mental health difficulties. She co-developed a new group therapy intervention for parents of autistic children as part of a randomised controlled trial and established a central London service for adult autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments and psychological therapy, linked with the National and Specialist Adult Autism and ADHD Psychological Therapy Service. Dr. Breese also clinically leads a new service for autistic adults with complex mental health difficulties, reflecting her commitment to advancing care for neurodivergent populations.
