Seit 2011 leitet er die Interventionelle und Diagnostische Radiologie, die über eine hochmoderne technische Ausstattung verfügt. Dazu gehören unter anderem zwei Computertomographen (64-Zeiler und 128-Zeiler), zwei Magnetresonanztomographen (1,5 und 3 Tesla) sowie der erste 3D-Drucker in Hessen zur präzisen OP-Planung. In Kombination mit dem breiten Spektrum an Verletzungen und Erkrankungen, die täglich ambulant und stationär diagnostiziert werden, gewährleistet seine Abteilung ein hohes Maß an Sicherheit in der Diagnostik und mikroinvasiven Therapie.

Neben seiner Tätigkeit an der BG Unfallklinik ist Prof. Langheinrich Geschäftsführer und Ärztlicher Leiter des Medizinischen Versorgungszentrums MVZ BG Unfallklinik Frankfurt GmbH. Zudem besitzt er eine Weiterbildungsbefugnis für Radiologie und ist Strahlenschutzbevollmächtigter der BG Unfallklinik.
