Er begann sein Medizinstudium in Heidelberg und absolvierte seine Ausbildung als Kardiologe an den Universitätskliniken von Heidelberg und Zürich. Anschließend diente er als leitender Arzt für Kardiologie am Städtischen Krankenhaus Karlsruhe. Im Jahr 1992 gründete Dr. Ruffmann zusammen mit mehreren Kollegen seine eigene Praxis in Karlsruhe, ausgestattet mit einem Herzkatheter-Labor. Nach 15 Jahren aktiver kardiologischer Praxis mit Herzkatheterisierung wechselte er in seine Privatpraxis in Baden-Baden und legte dabei einen Schwerpunkt auf schonende, nicht-invasive Kardiologie. Während seiner gesamten Laufbahn bot Dr. Ruffmann eine Vielzahl von nicht-invasiven kardiologischen Dienstleistungen an, darunter EKG, dreidimensionales EKG (Kardiogoniometrie), Ultraschalluntersuchung des Herzens mittels 3D-Echtzeit-Echokardiographie, Belastungsstudien, Spiroergometrie und Schrittmachertherapie. Zudem integriert er die ganzheitliche Medizin in seinen Ansatz, erforscht Methoden zur Blutdrucksenkung ohne Medikamente und bietet Kardiostresstherapie an. Darüber hinaus bietet er Therapien für Gefäßerkrankungen an, einschließlich EECP-Therapie, bekannt als der biologische Bypass, mit dem Ziel, Durchblutungsstörungen ohne den Einsatz von Kathetern oder Skalpellen zu heilen. Mit über 30 Jahren Erfahrung legt Dr. Ruffmanns Ansatz in der Inneren Medizin und Kardiologie sowohl Wert auf umfassende Betreuung als auch auf individuelle Behandlungspläne und setzt dabei stets das Wohlergehen der Patienten an erste Stelle.
