He was soon after appointed as a Locum Consultant at King's College Hospital and was awarded the prestigious British Foot and Ankle travelling fellowship which he spent in Lyon, France. Dr Giddie became a Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019.
Dr Giddie is the Diabetic-Orthopaedic Lead and the Clinical Governance Lead in his NHS Trust. In his current private practice, he sees patients with a broad range of foot and ankle conditions, including the following:
