About
At Lister and New QEII Hospitals, Dr Evans is responsible for inpatients with a variety of gastroenterological disorders, and runs regular gastroenterology outpatient clinics. His areas of interest include reflux and heartburn, Barrett’s oesophagus, IBS, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, upper GI physiology testing, investigation of abnormal liver function tests, and anaemia.
He is also actively involved in medical education and training, serving as the Endoscopy training lead for the Trust and teaching on regional JAG accredited training courses for Upper GI endoscopy. As the Upper GI Cancer lead for the trust, Dr Evans is a member of the Regional Upper GI cancer Alliance and leads the Regional Laser service.
