Mr. James Riley is a Consultant Knee Surgeon who practices at The OrthTeam Centre in Manchester and also provides services through Spire Healthcare. His clinical focus also includes the treatment of knee arthritis, including partial and full knee replacements. Additionally, he has developed a special interest in the management of knee cap disorders, such as instability and replacement, following his fellowship training in Bristol.
In his NHS practice at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, Mr. Riley is responsible for managing complex knee injuries, including multi-ligament knee injuries, fractures around the knee, and complications following knee replacements. He is currently the Cancer Lead for the Orthopaedic Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr. Riley is also deeply involved in medical education, regularly teaching and examining trainees for their final orthopaedic exams and interviewing medical school applicants. He is actively engaged in research, serving as the Principal Investigator for an NIHR-funded trial at Stepping Hill Hospital.
