About Dr Hamish Curry
Mr. Hamish Curry is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over a decade of experience in the management and treatment of foot, achilles and ankle issues, including bunion correction, foot and ankle surgery, Achilles tendon rupture, foot and ankle arthritis, tendinopathy and sports injuries. He sees private patients at Knox Private Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital. His practice is centred around tailoring the treatment of patients to their individual needs in an approachable and friendly environment. He is well known for listening to their needs and effectively communicating their options to them. Mr. Curry gained his Bachelor's degree in medicine at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1998. After this, Mr. Curry undertook his orthopaedic training in New Zealand and went on to gain fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009. He also gained knowledge and expertise in the management and assessment of foot and ankle problems during his sub-specialty foot and ankle surgery fellowship. Mr. Curry also undertook fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, and a Sports Surgery fellowship in Auckland. Since his Consultant appointment in 2010, Mr. Curry has become a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
