About Gillian Strutton
Gillian Strutton is a highly experienced therapist who has worked across a variety of settings, including private medical hospitals, NHS services, educational institutions, charities, financial organisations, and private practice. She joined Nightingale Hospital in 2021 and provides clinical assessments, individual therapy, and EMDR consultancy to support patients across the hospital’s programmes. She is a Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a registered member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and Supervisor. Gillian is also an integrative clinical supervisor and is listed on the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care register. Gillian tailors her treatment approach to the individual needs of each client, drawing from third-wave CBT models, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. She also offers clinical supervision. Her therapeutic work is informed by her previous career in financial services, which spanned over 30 years.
