Dr. Sameer H. Shaikh is a highly experienced and well-respected orthodontist who has dedicated his career to improving the smiles of his patients. He received his dental degree from Mangalore University with Distinction in 1995 and went on to earn his Masters Degree in Orthodontics with Distinction from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 1997. Dr. Shaikh has held faculty positions at the Dr D. Y. Patil Dental College in Mumbai and was responsible for instituting the Straight Wire Program during his teaching stint there. He is the recipient of the Bajpai-Sahai Award for advancement in Biomaterials.
Dr. Shaikh's passion for orthodontics comes from his late father, Dr. H. S. Shaikh, who was accredited as being the first Indian trained orthodontist. Dr. H. S. Shaikh was a pioneer in the field of orthodontics and had a career spanning 40 years, educating four decades of orthodontists.
With over 25 years of experience in active clinical practice of orthodontics, Dr. Shaikh has a keen interest in the latest advancements in material science and modern innovations in orthodontics. He attends numerous national and international seminars and conferences to keep himself up-to-date. Dr. Shaikh utilises the latest and best products to provide his patients with the best possible results, including the Straight-Wire orthodontic Appliance (Braces), Invisible and Lingual Braces. Currently, he is interested in the use of Micro-Implants for improving the orthodontic treatment results. Dr. Shaikh is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care and achieving the best possible outcomes for them.
