Dr Gayatri Vadlamani (nee Neti Gayatri), a consultant paediatric neurologist trained in Paediatrics at a prestigious quaternary post graduate education and research institute in India for 3 years, then has been working in Paediatric Neurology for 20 years in UK, initial 3.5 years as registrar and the rest as a consultant paediatric neurologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust from January 2005 till June 2021.
She has extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, investigations and management of a wide range of neurological disorders in children including neurodevelopmental disorders such as developmental delay; headache, gait disorders such as toe walking, funny turns in children including faints and seizures, movement disorders including tics and sleep disorders. She has been the lead for the regional epilepsy service for several years, trained junior doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and medical students. Her skills include management of spasticity, dystonia including delivering botulinum toxin injections.
