Franz Sperlich studierte Humanmedizin an der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover und forschte am Cognitive Science Institute der UCSD in Kalifornien/USA zum Thema Aufmerksamkeit. Zu diesem Thema promovierte er im Jahr 2000. Seine Qualifikation zum Facharzt der Allgemeinmedizin absolvierte er 2002. Im Anschluss erlangte Dr. med. Sperlich Zusatzbezeichnungen in den Bereichen Akupunktur, Naturheilverfahren und Homöopathie. Seine Ausbildung erweiterte er durch ein Studium für biologische Medizin am WHO Zentrum in Mailand, 2003 bis 2011, sowie ein berufsbegleitendes Studium der komplementären Medizin-Kulturwissenschaften-Heilkunde an der European University Viadrina, von 2009 bis 2011.

Neben seiner Praxis ist er als Autor, Redner und Coach aktiv.
