Ausbildung und wissenschaftlicher Werdegang

PD Dr. Faris Brkic absolvierte sein Medizinstudium an der Medizinischen Universität Wien und schloss dieses 2018 ab. 2022 erlangte er den akademischen Grad Dr. scient. med. Im Jahr 2023 folgte die Habilitation im Fach Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Heilkunde, womit er den Titel Privatdozent erhielt. Seine Facharztausbildung beendete er 2024 am Universitätsklinikum AKH Wien.

Neben seiner klinischen Tätigkeit nahm Dr. Brkic an zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Fortbildungen, Kursen und Fachkongressen teil und ist Autor von über 60 wissenschaftlichen Publikationen.

Fellowship

Nach Abschluss der Facharztausbildung absolvierte Dr. Faris Brkic ein einjähriges spezialisiertes Fellowship im Bereich Rhinologie an der renommierten Universitätsklinik in Manchester. Dort vertiefte er seine chirurgische Expertise insbesondere in der ästhetisch-funktionellen Nasenchirurgie, der endoskopischen Nasennebenhöhlenchirurgie sowie der Schädelbasischirurgie.

Operative Behandlung

Chirurgische Eingriffe werden in ausgewählten Wiener Privatkliniken sowie im Allgemeinen Krankenhaus der Stadt Wien (AKH) durchgeführt, wo Dr. Faris Brkic auch als HNO-Facharzt tätig ist. Dank seiner spezialisierten Ausbildung können viele Operationen minimal-invasiv erfolgen.

Wann immer möglich werden endoskopische Techniken über natürliche Zugangswege eingesetzt, um sichtbare Narben zu vermeiden, gesundes Gewebe zu schonen und die postoperative Erholungszeit zu verkürzen. Ziel jeder Behandlung ist eine präzise, funktionell wie ästhetisch überzeugende Lösung bei möglichst geringer Belastung für die Patient:innen.
