Dr Farid Fakhry Farid is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist, Consultant Rhinologist, Consultant surgeon of nose and sinus, and Consultant in LASER and Coblation Surgery (Adult and Paediatrics) with over 35 years of clinical expertise and 23 years of experience at consultant level. He specialises in both paediatric and adult otorhinolaryngology.
He completed his medical degree with honours at Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1986, followed by an extensive training programme in otorhinolaryngology at Cairo University, Egypt from 1987 to 1992, and was awarded his Master’s degree upon completion. He then completed his higher surgical training in otorhinolaryngology in the UK from 1994 to 2000. During this time, he obtained a Diploma and Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland in Otorhinolaryngology and Head-Neck Surgery in 1997. He also completed subspecialty training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery during this time.
Over the course of 28 years, Dr Farid has served as an consultant in various countries, including the UK, Canada, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE. He has expertise in a wide range of areas, including endoscopic sinus surgery, septal and turbinate surgery, paediatric and adult nasal and sinus rigid and flexible endoscopy, allergic rhinitis, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea surgery. He also has expertise in laser and coblator tonsillectomy, paediatric ENT hearing assessment, drainage of middle ear effusion and tube insertion, adenoid and tonsil procedures, cleft palate and lip surgery, dizzy and tinnitus management, and treatment of laryngeal and voice diseases through micro laryngoscopy and phono-surgery.
