Dr Fareed Khan is a dentist based at Perfect Smile Dental in Putney. He gained his dental qualifications in 1995 from the University of Leeds and went on to receive his FFD from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2000.
He has a special interest in the treatment of TMD and bruxism syndromes, and he has expertise in realigning the occlusion to reposition the jaws in space to relieve strain from TMJ and associated muscles. Over the years, he has had great success in treating patients with TMJ, headaches, grinding, teeth clenching, and jaw muscle pain. He believes that most of these symptoms come from a misalignment of the jaws, which can be relieved by correcting the position and shape of the jaw.
Dr Khan is an expert in his field and has had a long-standing interest in temporomandibular joint dysfunction, publishing a paper on the topic whilst he was a student. Following his graduation, he worked in dental practice followed by hospitals where he studied oral and maxillofacial surgery for 3 years. He then studied in the USA, where he focused on maxillofacial radiology and craniofacial imaging.
Additionally, he has spent 5 years studying dental implantology at the Eastman Dental Hospital.
He accepts private referrals for patients and he offers free consultations.
Outside of the dental practice, Dr Khan enjoys training in his personal gym and spending time with his family.
