About Dr Vikram Murthy
Dr Vikram Murthy is a true Londoner, born at St Thomas' Hospital, only a stone's throw away from where his practice, Harley Street Dr, is located. He has a particular interest in sports medicine and injuries as well as pre-hospital medicine. He has previously been a medical officer at Lydden Hill and Brands Hatch Motor Racing Circuits. In addition, he worked in Emergency Medicine for almost a year and is able to handle most medical problems including emergencies, having completed Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training. Dr Murthy is passionate about delivering his patients the best possible healthcare and prides himself in building long-term relationships. He has experience treating celebrities, high net wealth individuals and sports personalities, and always ensures discretion and confidentiality. After studying medicine at St George's Hospital Medical School, Dr Murthy trained at St Bart's and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has worked in the NHS and privately for the past nine years and has built up a wealth of experience during this time. He involves himself in medical education and regularly supervises and trains junior doctors within the NHS. Outside of the hospital, Dr Murthy enjoys spending time with his friends and family, travelling, and taking part in motor and water sports.
