About
Dr Campbell began his medical education at the University of Birmingham where he graduated in Medicine with honours in 1994. He then went on to develop skills by training in luminal gut problems within hospitals in Edinburgh, Oxford and Liverpool. He completed his MD at Edinburgh University in 2000. He was later appointed Consultant and Research Lead (IBD) at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Dr Campbell became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2013.
Dr Campbell is an active researcher with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and he currently holds the position of honorary senior lecturer at the University of Salford and the University of Manchester. He is a member of several well-respected institutions including the British Society of Gastroenterology and on the editorial board of Crohn's and Colitis UK.
