Dr Urwin graduated with honours from the University of Leeds School of Medicine. An early interest in aspects of skin health led them to undertake an additional BSc in pharmacology with research into wound healing during their time at University. They then went on to complete their post-graduate general medical training in Yorkshire and secured a specialist dermatology training post with the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery, subsequently gaining experience working alongside other dermatologists.
