Dr Philip Bazire trained at University College London before specialising in General Surgery and subsequently in Out-of-Hospital Emergency Medicine in Spain. He has a special interest in the effects of diet and lifestyle on health and disease, and he undertook a Masters course with a focus on micronutrition, healthy diet and eating behaviour, and weight loss.
Dr Bazire set up a clinic in Zamora, Spain, and introduced the PnK Method by PronoKal, a very-low-calorie ketogenic diet that allowed his patients to achieve much greater weight loss than had been possible with other diets, combined with a metabolic switch that improves metabolic health. This method also gives patients the added benefit of rapid results with an absence of hunger.
Dr Bazire moved back to London in 2018 and set up a clinic to provide medical weight management, with a particular interest in metabolic health and the treatment of weight-induced inflammation, considered to be the primary cause of weight-related chronic disease. He is also the Medical Director of PronoKal UK.
