Dr Nigel Durham is a cardiologist practising at the Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital, Nuffield Health York Hospital, and Spire Leeds Hospital. Dr Durham gained his medical qualification from the University of Nottingham in 1993 before returning to York, where he grew up, to complete his training. He was appointed consultant cardiologist in 2006. Dr Durham has been clinical lead for cardiology at York Foundation Trust since 2009. He has had an instrumental role in improving the cardiology services there including the introduction of primary coronary intervention for angioplasty and cardiac CT angiography service.
Dr Durham is a member of the British Cardiac Society, the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society, and the Royal College of Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr Durham is involved in his local community and is chairman of the York Cricket Club. He also plays rugby and golf.
