About

Dr Robinson is a highly experienced general and invasive cardiologist with over 20 years' experience as a Cardiology Consultant. He graduated from Cambridge University from where, as a British Heart Foundation Research Fellow, he was also awarded an MD Thesis for research into Heart Muscle Disease. He then subspecialised in Interventional Cardiology and was appointed as a Consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital before helping to develop The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.

His specialist interests include the assessment of chest pain, coronary angiography, screening for coronary disease and assessing cardiac risk with modern imaging modalities including cardiac CT and MRI. General cardiology interests include management of heart valve disease, lipid abnormalities, hypertension, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

Dr Robinson has also been the author of many peer reviewed papers in basic science and clinical cardiology. He has undertaken wide ranging clinical research and been widely published on the use of stents for the treatment of coronary disease.

Dr Robinson has extensive clinical experience working as a full-time clinician in high volume Cardiothoracic Centres in London and Essex for many years, and has therefore vast experience in the clinical evaluation of patients to optimise their diagnosis and management.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
