Dr Mike Mendall, Consultant Gastroenterologist, currently works at the Croydon University Hospital, where he is the Lead Clinician for their gastroenterology unit. Throughout his working day, he works multi-disciplinary with dedicated GI radiologists, a specialist histopathologist, upper and lower GI surgeons and GI dieticians.
Dr Mendall also has responsibilities in several professional organisations including serving on the British Society of Gastroenterology Clinical Services Committee, the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer London Cancer Alliance board, and the National Cancer Intelligence Network Upper GI Cancer committee.
Dr Mendall is also an active member of the research community, publishing extensively on dyspepsia, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. He has an impressive publication history with over 100 peer-reviewed articles in journals like the Lancet, BMJ, etc. He also takes an active role in medical education holding a position on the South West London Gastroenterology Training Committee.
