About Prof Michael Dennis

Dr Mike Dennis is recognised as a key opinion leader in myeloid malignancy- with established expertise in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). After graduating from the University of Dundee in 1991 he as trained as a physician in Liverpool. Then moved to Australia to specialise in haematology. Dr Dennis joined The Christie on his return, then undertook further haematology training in Liverpool before returning to The Christie as Consultant Haematologist in 2004, where he works on the haematology and transplant unit. Dr Dennis is an active researcher with the National Cancer Research Network's AML and myelodysplasia working groups and a member of several other professional groups, including the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Pathologists, European Haematology association, American Society for Hematology and the British Society for Haematology.
