This involves providing Senior Ophthalmology expertise to the NHS Lothian Realistic Medicine multidisciplinary appraisal of the drugs used within the Macula Service and influencing regional pathway optimisation and safety of patients presenting with macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions and diabetes
associated retinopathy.
She contributes specialist medical retina leadership to the planning and design of the new NHS Eye Hospital at Edinburgh, shaping clinical workflows and future facing service delivery models
She also serves on the National Steering Committee for OCT Biomarkers in Diabetic Macular Edema (Abbvie) and the National Advisory Board for Biomarker & Imaging Standards in Retinal Disease (Roche)
