About
services and set up an osteoporosis clinic. He runs a "dizziness, falls and syncope clinic" and offers a tilt service assessing patients with unexplained falls, dizziness, POTS and losses of consciousness. He works in an acute medical admission unit and runs several outpatient clinics. These include general medical clinics and several subspecialty clinics namely vascular aging including dementia and Alzheimer's, TIA and stroke prevention, Osteoporosis, movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease
Dr Toth is interested in the prevention of vascular ageing and has attended several conferences focusing on modifying risk factors such as hypertension. He has chaired the drugs and therapeutics committee at Darent Valley Hospital for over 3 years and has audited various clinically relevant adverse drug reactions and interactions
which have resulted in a local course on safer prescribing for doctors in training.
Dr Toth has a research interest in bone health and fracture prevention, including affiliated endocrine disorders.
He is heavily involved in medical education with a special interest in pharmacotherapy and prescribing, including the numerous medication induced problems. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Kings College London where he has developed a prescribing module for medical students. He is also a Foundation Program Director for new qualified doctors
