Dr Mathias Toth is a Consultant General Physician who has over 30 years of experience in clinical medicine. services and set up an osteoporosis clinic. Dr Toth is interested in the prevention of vascular ageing and has attended several conferences focusing on modifying risk factors such as hypertension. He has chaired the drugs and therapeutics committee at Darent Valley Hospital for over 3 years and has audited various clinically relevant adverse drug reactions and interactions
which have resulted in a local course on safer prescribing for doctors in training.
Dr Toth has a research interest in bone health and fracture prevention, including affiliated endocrine disorders.
He is heavily involved in medical education with a special interest in pharmacotherapy and prescribing, including the numerous medication induced problems. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Kings College London where he has developed a prescribing module for medical students. He is also a Foundation Program Director for new qualified doctors
