Dr. Mark H Williams is a highly qualified Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. Dr. Williams obtained his degree in medicine from Kings College Hospital, University of London. Following his initially medical training and years as a senior house officer, he then went on to obtain the MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians of England. He undertook a clinical research fellowship in Systemic sclerosis associated pulmonary arterial hypertension at the Royal Free Hospital under the supervision of Dr Gerry Coghlan and Professor Christopher Denton and was then awarded his MD in Clinical research from the University of London.

Following on from his research fellowship, Dr. Williams completed specialist training in interventional cardiology at the Royal Sussex County and King's College Hospitals. He was appointed as Locum Consultant Interventional cardiologist at the Royal Sussex County hospital, Brighton before shortly being offered a substantive post as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2013.

During his time at Ashford and St. Peters, he worked on the set-up of the highly successful primary PCI service for treatment of heart attacks. He also became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

In addition to his busy practice, he also undertakes teaching for all levels of medical colleagues, from medical students upwards.
