Dr John Thomas Lear is a Consultant Dermatologist who qualified in 1991 from Leicester University, Dr Lear underwent general medical training in the Midlands, following which he undertook his dermatological training in the Midlands and the South West as a senior registrar before taking up his present consultant post in August 2010. Lear works at The Alexandra Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Hope Hospital. Lear's clinical interests include Moles, regular mole checks, mole mapping, Skin lesions, Warts, Lumps and Bumps, lipomas, cysts, Skin cancer including surgical and non-surgical treatments, Photodynamic therapy for precancerous lesions and superficial skin cancers, Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis and all rashes, Hair loss, Itching, all aspects of general dermatology, teaching and training and paediatric dermatology.
