He did special training in congenital heart disease training at several London-based hospitals including The Royal Brompton, Guy's and St Thomas', and Great Ormond St Hospitals. Upon completing his training, he undertook a fellowship at Barts Heart Centre in Catheter Intervention for Structural and Congenital Heart Disease. He was later appointed to Consultant at the same institution.
Dr Bhan is an active member of the research community, remaining actively involved in clinical trials and research and has numerous peer-reviewed publications focusing on interventional cardiology.
