Dr. Abba Alkali is a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Director for Dermatology at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals Trust. Before this, he was a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Director for Dermatology at Aintree University Hospitals Foundation Trust in Liverpool.
He graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and subsequently completed general medical training at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. He completed venereology and dermatology training in Nigeria between the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile Ife obtaining the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in 2002.
Dr. Abba Alkli also completed dermatology postgraduate training in the Mersey Deanery in the United Kingdom and spent a year at the prestigious St John Institute of Dermatology in London obtaining an MSc Degree in Clinical Dermatology with a Certificate of Excellence in Dermatopathology. He is also on the GMC United Kingdom Specialist Register for Dermatology.
