Dimitra Karyoti
Physiotherapy
About
Dimitra earned her bachelor's degree in physiotherapy at Metropolitan College in 2018, during which time she gained knowledge and expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative patients, and neurological rehabilitation. Upon completion of her degree, Dimitra trained in manual therapy under the American Academy of Manipulative therapy which encompassed high-velocity low amplitude thrust manipulation for lumbar and sacroiliac dysfunction.
Dimitra is continually developing her skills as a physiotherapist and is looking to undertake training in Pilates and dry needling to improve her rehabilitation programmes. Upon completion of her training, Dimitra came to the UK to work as a medico-legal physiotherapist, helping patients suffering from road traffic injuries such as whiplash.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
