About
Having completed his early education in Norfolk, he went on to undertake his medical degree from the University of Leicester, graduating in 2006. Following this he went on to complete specialist training in paediatric respiratory medicine in the East Midlands and was appointed as a Consultant in 2018.
He has expertise in a wide range of areas including management of children with cough, breathlessness, recurrent chest infections, chronic lung diseases including bronchiectasis, hayfever, rhinitis, congenital lung malformations, and airway abnormalities amongst other complex lung diseases.
In addition to his clinical work, he is active in research and was awarded a prestigious National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Advanced fellowship in 2022, providing funding for a programme of research into wheeze and asthma in preschool children. He is also an executive member of the East Midlands Paediatric Respiratory society, the Midlands Asthma and Allergy research association, and is the current Paediatric Epidemiology group secretary for the European Respiratory Society.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
