About Dr Darragh O'Brien
Dr Darragh O'Brien is a highly qualified anaesthetist. Originally from Ireland, Dr O'Brien moved to Australia in 2009. Dr O'Brien earned a full academic scholarship to medical school at The Royal College of Surgeons, graduating with honours in 2005. Dr O'Brien began working in Dublin as a physician trainee and was later conferred with full membership of the Royal College of Physicians. Upon arriving in Australia, Dr O'Brien worked in intensive care and anaesthetics, completing further training. Dr O'Brien then finished their anaesthetic fellowship. Dr O'Brien has a special interest in Pre-hospital and Retrieval Medicine and completed an additional fellowship in this area. Their research publications are in the area of pneumonitis and ventilation compliance, with this research being accepted for presentation at international conferences.
